The Midland RockHounds picked up a win at Security Bank Ballpark, downing the Frisco RoughRiders, 8-1. On the mound for Midland was right-hander Scott Delgado, who played a pivotal role in the win. Midland goes to 38-58, Frisco to 52-44.

Jeff Sparks had a big 2-run double for the RockHounds in the bottom of the third inning. With Midland leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Jamie Allen, the 8th overall pick in the 2109 draft, and swatted a double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RockHounds ahead, 6-1.

"They took it to us," said Frisco manager Carlos Mercado.
