It might have been a rain-shorted game, but Missions fans didn't seem to mind as long as their team got the win.

San Antonio pitcher Jose Perez did his part in helping his team beat the Frisco RoughRiders, 6-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Perez, now 6-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 9, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.

San Antonio used a well-timed hit by Andrew Lankford to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Missions ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Lankford said after the game.

With the win, San Antonio goes to 58-39, while the RoughRiders fall to 42-54.
