The San Antonio Missions reigned over the Frisco RoughRiders in damp conditions.

The San Antonio Missions beat the Frisco RoughRiders, 5-0, at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. San Antonio designated hitter Amaro Alfarela led the way. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Bobby Isom earned the win, while 24-year old left-handed pitcher Raul Guillen took the loss for Frisco.

In the top of the third of a scoreless game, Alfarela hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.

"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said San Antonio manager David Medina.
