San Antonio pitcher Javon Bolton had a large part in his team subduing the Frisco RoughRiders, 4-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Bolton, now 20-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Picking up the save was Zack Lawler, his 9th.
Jadon Mitchell had a direct impact on the outcome. Mitchell contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put San Antonio up, 2-0.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Mitchell.
San Antonio is first in the South Division with a record of 64-34.
