The Corpus Christi Hooks faced a tenacious opponent in Frisco pitcher Robert Manzo, but still scratched out a win at Whataburger Field by a final score of 10-8 in 10 innings. Manzo went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Corpus Christi reliever Vinny Guzman was the winner. His record is now 5-6. Tommy Castiglione took the loss. Corpus Christi got a knockout punch from Giacomino Pastorelli. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
