Un-four-gettable: Ontiveros Hits for Cycle
Marco Ontiveros did everything he could for the San Antonio Missions -- literally.

The 26-year-old center fielder hit a single, a double, a triple and a home run for the Missions, going for the cycle and helping them get past the Corpus Christi Hooks, 11-7, at Whataburger Field.

"Yeah, I was some kind of hitter in this game," Ontiveros reflected later. "It was like all I had to do was close my eyes and swing the bat."

In a game headed for the record books, Ontiveros banged out 4 hits in 4 at-bats and totaled 5 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Speaking with the press about the feat, he attributed it to "a lot of luck."

"A triple is so hard to hit," he said. "To just decide to get one in a game when you need it for a cycle, it's impossible. Usually something weird has to happen, the ball kicking past an outfielder or somebody falling down. There's a ton of luck in hitting for a cycle."

Marco Ontiveros hit a three-run triple in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Rafik Woodley in the 8th.

This season in 58 games, Ontiveros has hit at a .249 clip with 46 hits, 7 home runs, 28 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
