Corpus Christi Triumphs with Late Surge
The Corpus Christi Hooks faced a tough opponent in Midland pitcher Ian Lowe, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Security Bank Ballpark by a final score of 6-2. Lowe went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Corpus Christi is now 51-54, while Midland is 38-67.

Corpus Christi used the timely hitting of Andres Pulido to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hooks on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on," said Pulido.
