Travelers Lose Again, 3-1, to Drillers
|
The Arkansas Travelers were defeated, 3-1, by the Tulsa Drillers at Dickey-Stephens Park, even though Marquise Ceresa pitched well for Arkansas. Tulsa reliever Sean Edmonds got the win, raising his record to 9-1. Marquise Ceresa was tagged with the loss. The last-place Travelers have lost 6 straight games.
Doug Evans, who is tied for 8th in the TEX in RBI with 52, had a direct impact on the outcome. Evans contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Tulsa up, 2-0.
Said Arkansas manager Bobby Pappas: "You just have to tip your cap sometimes."
