The San Antonio Missions could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Glen Hagerman into a win. Instead, the Frisco RoughRiders prevailed, 8-5. Hagerman threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Jose Velazquez, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. By defeating San Antonio, the first-place RoughRiders improved to 60-50.

R.J. Tejeda came through with a big-time hit for Frisco. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 8-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," Tejeda said.
