Thanks in large part to catcher Corey Armstrong, the San Antonio Missions beat the Frisco RoughRiders, 5-3. Armstrong went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. Josh Morse came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 4-2. San Antonio has won 7 straight games.
Armstrong had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Jose Obeso, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Missions a 4-2 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Armstrong.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Armstrong after the game.
