Midland picked up a win at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, bumping off the Frisco RoughRiders, 5-3. Pitcher Joey Wright was a major reason the RockHounds emerged victorious. The winner was Wright. He threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Jerry Gibson. The RockHounds now have a record of 55-57.

Mario Perales was 2-5 with 2 singles for Midland. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Jerry Gibson. It was his 74th hit of the season.
