Missions Keep Chugging, Win, 3-2
|
The San Antonio Missions eked out a 3-2 win versus the Tulsa Drillers at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Dusty Troutman. He was terrific. With the win, San Antonio goes to 66-47, while the Drillers fall to 86-27.
The Missions got a big at-bat from third baseman Josh Redding. For the game, Redding went 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 14th home run of the season gave San Antonio a 3-2 lead.
After the game, San Antonio manager Mike Coveney applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
