Travelers Claim 7-3 Triumph
The Arkansas Travelers topped the Frisco RoughRiders, 7-3, in Texas League action at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Arkansas first baseman Chris Gautreaux. Ruben Perez got the win, improving to 10-9. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The last-place Travelers are now 45-69, the RoughRiders 38-76.

Arkansas designated hitter Michael Maloney contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 45th hit of the season and put the Travelers ahead, 3-0.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Maloney.
