The Tulsa Drillers had to overcome a big game from San Antonio designated hitter Billy Schneider to leave Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning 10-6. Schneider went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Tulsa's record now stands at 87-28, placing them first in the North Division.

Tulsa designated hitter Luis Flores contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 60th hit of the season and put the Drillers ahead, 8-6.

Flores told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
