The Midland RockHounds stopped the Arkansas Travelers, 9-2, at Dickey-Stephens Park. The RockHounds got a big game from Joey Davis, who was 2 for 4 with a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Midland currently is in third place in the South Division at 47-70.

Midland took a 6-2 lead on Davis's 3rd triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which he hit off Phil Noblet in the top of the eighth, propelled Midland to the win.

"Every good pitch to hit is a strike," said Davis. "But not every strike is a good pitch to hit."
