The Arkansas Travelers got a strong performance from pitcher Zack Lawler, who stymied the Tulsa offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Dickey-Stephens Park. Lawler went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-1. Arkansas is now 47-78.
The Travelers got a big at-bat from third baseman Jon Fuentes, who in the bottom of the third hit a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Travelers on top, 4-0.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Lawler.
