Missions Pick Up 6-4 Win
The San Antonio Missions topped the Midland RockHounds, 6-4, in Texas League action at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of San Antonio right fielder Joel Sherlock. Victor Duro got credit for the win, improving to 14-6. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings. Jacob Magaw picked up the save, his 24th.

The RockHounds had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Missions going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old shortstop Mark Williams came to the plate. Williams hit a 2-run double on a 0-1 sinker from Midland hurler Phil Parker. It was Williams's 19th double of the year.

"I like our moxie," said Missions manager Mike Coveney.

At 75-51, San Antonio is in first place in the South Division.
