Drillers Win Again, 4-2, Extend Streak to 6
|
Tulsa Drillers starter Nate Steele was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Arkansas Travelers, 4-2. Steele, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. The second-place Drillers now have a record of 73-56.
Jon Robinson had a big 2-run home run for the Drillers in the top of the second inning. With Tulsa leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a cutter from Joey Renner, who is tied for 10th in the TEX in complete games with 2, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Drillers on top, 3-0.
"The most important thing is that we won," Robinson said.
