Frisco second baseman Pedro Cortina had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Corpus Christi Hooks, 7-6. Stephen Smith, who is tied for 2nd in the TEX in saves with 17, nailed down the save. The RoughRiders saw their win-loss record go to 54-77. At the same time, the Hooks fell to 33-98.

Rob Sadowski, who is tied for 9th in the TEX in hits with 114, helped out the Frisco cause in the top of the fifth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the center fielder was 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Sadowski.
