Frisco RoughRiders starter Carlos Romero hurled his team past the Midland RockHounds, 5-1. Frisco, at 69-64, sits in second place in the South Division.

Romero, who dominated for Frisco, earned the victory to move to 6-6. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 4. Midland batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

Romero told the Frisco News: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
