Drillers Deny Cardinals, 4-2

The Tulsa Drillers and Springfield Cardinals played an exciting game.
The Tulsa Drillers knocked off the Springfield Cardinals, 4-2, in Texas League action at ONEOK Field. Tulsa pitcher and Calarca, Colombia, native Jesus Herrera had an outstanding performance. Andres Bertran earned his 41st save, after closing out the game.
Dustin Mollman had a big solo home run for the Drillers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Tulsa leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Romero and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the Drillers on top, 4-2.
Mollman said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
Tulsa has a record of 88-46, placing them first in the North Division.
