RoughRiders Handed 6-3 Loss by Hooks
|
Giovani Cesaresco was a major factor in the 6-3 Corpus Christi win over Frisco. The Hooks third baseman was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was 22-year old left-handed pitcher Jose Diaz. He tossed 105 pitches over 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. Elias Placencia closed the game out for Corpus Christi, earning his 9th save.
The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Whataburger Field crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Cesaresco. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
The Hooks go to 50-86, putting them last in the South Division.
