In a tight tilt between the Midland RockHounds and the San Antonio Missions, Joey Wright was the deciding factor. The Midland left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Midland occupies last place in the South Division at 53-83.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Midland first baseman Mike Steinman, facing Jadon Hill, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the RockHounds the 2-1 win.
"It's great when the crowd is energized," Steinman said.
