Corpus Christi starter Chris Sanchez pitched well against the Frisco RoughRiders at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-4, in 14 innings. Anthony Joyner, now 2-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. The win makes Corpus Christi 75-61.

Paul Banfield drew 1 walk for Corpus Christi. With one out and the game tied in the top of the 14th inning, Banfield had a clutch at-bat. Facing Frisco hurler Tony Lopez, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Hooks a 5-4 lead.
