Arkansas and Tulsa duked it out and the Travelers came out victorious.
The Arkansas Travelers downed the Tulsa Drillers, 6-4. The hitting star was catcher Cortez Petry. Petry went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI for the Travelers. The save went to Bill Medina, his 3rd this season.
The Travelers had to work out of trouble with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 6-4, Arkansas. But Tulsa, with the bases empty, had mounted a threat. Kevin Willmore dug in at the plate. But on a 2-2 fastball, Willmore grounded out.
The Travelers now have a record of 38-99 with the win over Tulsa.
