Though the conditions were not ideal, the Arkansas Travelers and Springfield Cardinals came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Arkansas Travelers topped the Springfield Cardinals by a score of 9-8. Leading the way was left fielder Mike McCorkle. McCorkle went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Travelers. Roger Romero locked down his 4th save.

McCorkle had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Robby Pritzl, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Travelers a 9-8 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for McCorkle.

McCorkle told the Arkansas Today: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."

At 52-85, the Travelers are currently last in the North Division.
