Erie SeaWolves starter Seth Thornton pitched well against the Portland Sea Dogs at Jerry Uht Park, leading his team to a win, 7-2. After losing, Portland is 7-5.

Jamie Jacobs had a big 2-run double for the SeaWolves in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Erie leading 3-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a splitter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Tyler Trantham and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the SeaWolves ahead, 5-1.

"Seth was in tempo tonight," said Erie skipper Toby West.
