Yankees fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.

Staten Island Yankees starter Bob Searle pitched a strong game against the Aberdeen Ironbirds at Richmond County Bank Ballpark, leading the Yankees to victory, 5-4. Staten Island is now 1-3.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 23-year old left fielder Edgar Ortega had a chance to be the hero. Aberdeen pitcher David Santana wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Ortega drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Yankees had themselves a thrilling win.

"Bob was able to execute his pitches," said Staten Island manager Erik Bowman. "Simple as that."
