Renegades Knock Off Spinners, 2-0
|
Lowell pitcher Jack Hale gave the Renegades all they could handle, but in the end, Hudson Valley left Dutchess Stadium with a win, 2-0. Hale allowed 2 runs on 4 hits over 7 innings. Lowell, with the loss, is still a hardy 3-1.
The Renegades got a big at-bat from left fielder Alex Mendoza. For the game, Mendoza went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Hudson Valley a 2-0 lead.
Hudson Valley manager George Woolbright called it "a darn good win."
