In a low-scoring game between Potomac and Myrtle Beach, pitcher Chris Morse was excellent. The Potomac right-hander helped his team knock off the Pelicans, 3-0. Potomac is now 4-1.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Bill Wessels? The Potomac right fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put the Nationals on top, 1-0. For the game, Wessels had 1 double and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
