The Wilmington Blue Rocks defeated the Salem Red Sox, 7-1, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Jose Ochoa produced 2 singles and 2 doubles, while scoring 1 run and driving in 2. Connor Clark had a big 3-run home run for the Blue Rocks in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Wilmington leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Mendez and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Blue Rocks on top, 6-0.
