Thrilling Victory Pushes Pelicans Win Streak to 5
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans and the Potomac Nationals played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Pelicans won it, 9-7, in 10 innings. In the game, Myrtle Beach second baseman Gabe Nesmith was 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Ryan LaBrasca snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Alvaro Morales suffered the loss. The win puts Myrtle Beach at 5-2.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Myrtle Beach. That's when Paul Forcier hit a 2-run home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Alvaro Morales to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Forcier said.
