Bingham Lifts Hillcats to 16-4 Triumph
Ed Smith Stadium was the site for Carolina League action featuring the Potomac Nationals and Lynchburg Hillcats.

The Lynchburg Hillcats cruised to a win over the Potomac Nationals, 16-4, at Ed Smith Stadium. Mike Bingham led the way, going 3-for-5 for Lynchburg. Francisco Pedro got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3.

With Lynchburg leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Bingham hit a fastball from Alex Gallargo for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Hillcats ahead, 5-0.

"We poured it on tonight," said Bingham.

Lynchburg is now 8-2.
