Frederick took on Potomac in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Chris Jordan, in particular, was fantastic. The Frederick left-hander helped his team snag the win, 3-1. David Fewell earned the save for Frederick, his 1st. The loss drops the Nationals to 6-4.

The Keys got a big at-bat from designated hitter Oscar Montoya. For the game, Montoya was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Frederick a 3-1 lead.

In postgame remarks, Montoya applauded his team's "business-like approach."
