5-3 Loss Deepens Potomac Funk
Lynchburg beat Potomac on the strength of starter Brian Fuller's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Lynchburg pitcher Carter Tappin got the win. He's now 2-0. Santos Cordero was tagged with the loss. The Nationals, now 5-10 this season, have struggled to play .500 ball.

Lynchburg took a 5-1 lead on Evan Haley's 3rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Haley hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Potomac pitcher Julian Fuentes visibly frustrated.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Potomac skipper Austin Czerwiec.
