Winston-Salem picked up a win at Grainger Stadium, bumping off the Carolina Mudcats, 8-3. Pitcher Alfredo Silva was a major reason the Dash emerged victorious. Omar Acosta picked up his 3rd save of the season. The Mudcats are now 6-10.

In the top of the second, 33-year old shortstop Ed Morales hit a solo home run. The 1st home run of the season for the Winston-Salem shortstop put the Dash on top, 4-3.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Winston-Salem manager Sam Simmons.
