In a low-scoring contest, Lynchburg pitcher Guillermo Pina was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. Ben Sweet, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. With the win, Lynchburg climbs to 13-4.

Had Brett Evans not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Evans hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Hillcats.

"We did just enough to win," Pina said.
