Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Nationals
The Nationals grabbed a win, 4-2, at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Myrtle Beach pitcher Pete Michalka. Michalka went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The win gives Potomac a record of 10-10.

The Pelicans had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Nationals going into the bottom of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old right fielder Arturo Ramirez came to the plate. Ramirez hit a 2-run double on a first pitch fastball from Myrtle Beach hurler Ryan LaBrasca. It was Ramirez's 6th double of the year.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Ramirez told the Potomac Times.
