The Frederick Keys got a stellar performance from pitcher Butch Torres, who handcuffed the Salem offense en route to a win, 6-0, at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. The loss drops the Salem record to a disappointing 9-13.

Torres scattered 2 hits over 7.2 innings for the Keys. Now 4-1, Torres has struck out 36 this season.

"Butch was throwing with conviction," said Frederick manager Jeremy Smejkal.
