Starting pitcher Jesse Kennedy pitched well enough to help the Potomac Nationals beat the Winston-Salem Dash, 5-3. Kennedy, who is tied for 2nd in the CAR in complete games with 2, went the distance for Potomac. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. With the win, Potomac improves its record to 13-10.

Potomac catcher Aaron Morrow contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 5th hit of the season and put the Nationals ahead, 3-1.
