The Wilmington Blue Rocks had no problem beating the Potomac Nationals, 13-2, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Gerardo Medina led the way. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Wilmington. Jon Guerrero finished to wrap up his 2nd save. Wilmington has a record of 16-10.

The Blue Rocks got an important contribution from second baseman Juan del Valle, who in the bottom of the third punched a 1-1 fastball into right for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Blue Rocks ahead, 9-0.

Potomac manager Austin Czerwiec called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."
