Keys Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Red Sox
Frederick pitcher Edwin Franco did his part in helping his team beat the Salem Red Sox, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Frederick reliever David Santana was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Danny Gonzalez took the loss. Getting the save was Tom Mitchell, his 2nd.

Oscar Montoya had a big 2-run double for the Keys in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Frederick leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 20-year old left-handed pitcher Danny Gonzalez and swatted a double to center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Keys ahead, 4-1.

"Whenever I help the team," said Montoya, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."

The Keys now have a record of 15-15 with the win over Salem.
