Nationals Suffer 7-5 Loss to Hillcats
The Lynchburg Hillcats spoiled a good performance by Potomac right fielder Arturo Ramirez, bumping off Potomac, 7-5, at Ed Smith Stadium. Ramirez was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win belonged to Jose Leon in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Willie Cardona took the loss for Potomac. Picking up the save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Justin Hernandez.

Guillermo Rivera went 1-3 for Lynchburg. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Rivera had a clutch at-bat. Facing Potomac hurler Willie Cardona, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Hillcats a 6-5 lead.

In comments to the Lynchburg Chronicle, Rivera insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.

The Hillcats have an impressive 21-9 record.
