Wilmington picked up a win at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, toppling the Winston-Salem Dash, 6-1. Pitcher Mark Gantt was one of the reasons the Blue Rocks triumphed. Gantt, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. Bill Amaya recorded the save for Wilmington, his 3rd of the season.

Mario Reina put Wilmington in front, 3-0, when he took Angelo Marquez downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 1st home run of the season.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Blue Rocks manager Bobby Clontz, "I like our chances."

Wilmington now has a 3-game win streak.
