Winston-Salem Carves Out 2-1 Win
Winston-Salem Dash starter Alfredo Arredondo turned in a top-notch performance against the Potomac Nationals at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. The result was a win for the Dash, 2-1. Tony Ponce De Leon earned the save for Winston-Salem. The Dash raised their record to 17-14.

Winston-Salem used the timely hitting of Francisco Quinto to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dash on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame remarks, Quinto hailed his team's "mettle."
