St. John Brings A-Game, Pelicans Beat Mudcats
In a tension-filled contest between the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and the Carolina Mudcats, pitcher Jim St. John was superb. The Myrtle Beach right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the CAR with a 1.05 WHIP, spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Myrtle Beach is now 11-20, while Carolina is 17-14.

St. John gave Myrtle Beach a first-rate performance. The 5-foot-11 right-hander permitted no runs on 1 hit over 7.2 innings of work.
