Calvert Terrific in 7-2 Carolina Triumph
John Calvert, who is tied for 6th in the CAR in wins with 3, had a strong outing for the Carolina Mudcats against the Lynchburg Hillcats at Grainger Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-2 win. The Mudcats sit in first place in the Southern Division with a record of 25-10.

Calvert earned the win to move to 3-1. In his complete game performance, he allowed 2 runs, while limiting the Hillcats to 4 hits.

"John's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Jon Saenz, the Mudcats manager.
