The Winston-Salem Dash trumped the Potomac Nationals, 7-5, at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. Winston-Salem right fielder Ernesto Morin was terrific. He went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 3 times. Winston-Salem is second in the Southern Division with a record of 20-15.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Ruben Reyes came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Potomac pitcher Eduardo Ralda, he hit a 2-2 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Winston-Salem on top, 6-5.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Morin.
