Winston-Salem Dash starter Angelo Marquez pitched a strong game against the Potomac Nationals at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, leading the Dash to victory, 4-2. Winston-Salem reliever Derek Upchurch was credited with the win, to go to 2-2. Pedro Hernandez took the loss for Potomac. The win makes Winston-Salem 18-17.

Winston-Salem used the timely hitting of Alex Tejada to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dash on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Tejada said.
