Frederick took on Salem in front of a lively crowd.

Frederick defeated Salem, 7-2, in large part due to 23-year old third baseman Josh Cummings. Cummings drove in 3 runs. The first baseman had 1 double and 1 home run for the Keys. The third-place Keys now have a record of 15-20.

With Frederick leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Cummings hit a fastball from Allan Corbin for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Keys ahead, 3-0.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Cummings told a Frederick News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
