The Potomac Nationals picked up a win at BB&T Ballpark, courtesy of Bobby Vazquez. The left-hander helped his team stop the Winston-Salem Dash, 3-2. Vazquez yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 5-0. By defeating Winston-Salem, the second-place Nationals improved to 19-17.

Potomac used a well-timed hit by Alan Schroeder to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Nationals ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Nice, tidy little win," Vazquez said after the game.
