Red Sox Get Close Win Over Keys, 2-1
In a tight affair between the Salem Red Sox and the Frederick Keys, pitcher Brett Hinders was in the zone. The Salem left-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. The Red Sox improved to 15-22.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Roger Novo in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Jose Romo to win it for Salem and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"Brett is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Salem manager Arturo Cobian.
