The Potomac Nationals withstood a good performance by Salem left fielder Mario Alvarez to knock off Salem, 5-4, in 10 innings. Alvarez was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The last-place Red Sox now sit at 15-25.
