Middleton Lifts Red Sox to 6-1 Win
Salem defeated Lynchburg, 6-1, in large part due to 28-year old first baseman Cameron Middleton. Middleton drove in 3 runs. The first baseman had 2 doubles and 1 home run for the Red Sox. Antonio Trevino, who is tied for 10th in the CAR in strikeouts with 45, was the winner. He's now 2-2. The loser was Edwin Lucio. With the victory, the Red Sox record stands at 16-24.

With Salem leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Middleton hit a fastball from Edwin Lucio for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Red Sox ahead, 4-1.
