Blue Rocks Defeat Hillcats in 12
Pitching was the name of the game for the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Lynchburg Hillcats. Wilmington won it, 2-1, in 12 innings. Wilmington starter Rich Harms was in command. The Blue Rocks improved to 19-23.

Wilmington used a timely hit from Ricardo Narigo to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Blue Rocks ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"To become 'battle-tested,'" said Narigo, "you need to compete in this kind of contest."
