Lynchburg Makes It 7 Straight with 9-7 Win
The Lynchburg Hillcats overcame a pretty good performance by Potomac designated hitter Mario Delgado, beating the Nationals, 9-7, in 10 innings. Delgado belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winner in relief was Justin Hernandez. He is now 2-2. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The first-place Hillcats have won 7 consecutive games.

Lynchburg used the clutch hitting of Mike Primeaux to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Hillcats the lead, 9-7. For the game, Primeaux had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We're playing good baseball. We're playing aggressive baseball," said Primeaux.
