The Carolina Mudcats picked up a win at Grainger Stadium, dropping the Potomac Nationals, 3-1. Gabe Espinoza was the difference-maker. Toshiya Jikihara finished the game for Carolina and earned his 1st save. Carolina, now 19-25, holds down third place in the Southern Division.

Adam Crates helped out the Carolina cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 2 with 2 walks.
